In the article "Branding a Rising China: An Analysis of Beijing’s National Image Management in the Age of China’s Rise" by Sheng Ding, the author mentions that China is in a fast-rising international influence now. At the same time, Chinese culture and language have widely spread throughout the world. However, China still has various deficiencies, including weak political credibility and the restoration of nationalism and foreign policy mistakes. As a Chinese, I admit that China has a lack of political credibility because the government never discloses the way and news of their presidential election. I think this is something that every Chinese citizen should know, not choose to hide.
On the other hand, China and the United States have always been in a delicate relationship. This is dangerous because US President Trump has unabashedly expressed that China is the most powerful enemy and competitor of the United States.
On the other hand, although it is now an era of advanced information and communication, the Chinese people still have no freedom of speech. Spreading negative information about China is dangerous in China because people may pay the price of their lives.
I chose this photo because this is the BeiJing 2008 Olympic center. This beautiful building shows the rise and prosperity of the Chinese nation to the world.
