Nguyen and Shillabeer discusses that
Vietnam focused on western education and transitioned into transnational
education (637). Vietnam was able to accomplish its goals through government regulations toward transnational regulations and transitional
education provided opportunities for the people. Furthermore, Nguyen and
Shilabeer emphasizes that Vietnam invested in local education and was involved
in international projects (639). Vietnam wanted its citizens to be involved in
higher and international education and this has been a goal for the Vietnamese government as the country wants to
prepare its citizens for the real world. Vietnam wants to focus on
globalization and maintain a sustainable economy. Pincus also states that
Vietnam focuses on education reform (26). The country provides opportunities to
all citizens and focuses on accessible education as this can affect the
literacy rate and country’s development I believe Vietnam was able to remake
itself as its industry and government focused on bringing exports which led to a growing economy. In
addition, Pincus emphasizes that technology brought growth to the economy.
Vietnam focused on its development through industry and government working
together to improve the country. I believe Vietnam can achieve further national
aesthetics as becoming less dependent on other countries for determining its
exports and reduce trade deficits with China. Vietnam needs to focus on building
its economy and development. As for my own nation branding framework, I believe
that education and literacy rate is an important component in branding.
Education and literacy rate defines a nation and relates to a country’s
achievement and developments. As the education and literacy rate improves, this
can lead to more brands and achievements from the country and the country is
more representative to the people. In other words, increasing education and
literacy rates provides more opportunities for the people and country.
In addition, Taylor’s University discusses that Malaysia focuses on transnational
education and more on British education in the country and even partners with the UK and Malaysian institutions are
venturing overseas (2) Like Vietnam, Malaysia is involved in transnational
education and globalization as it provides the best for the country and more
opportunities for its citizens.
Question:
How
can we ensure that countries will work together in order to promote
international cooperation?
