One country that has been mentioned in class a lot as a fine example of national aesthetics is South Korea. It has rebranded itself into the cool Asian Country. Everything from their movies, fashion, and food is stylized to be sexy and unique.
What they could do to help maximize their cool factor is to keep growing their movie industry and maybe recruit pop idols from other countries to increase their worldliness. The system of government I would prefer for this national aesthetics is capitalism. Capitalism helps maximize individuals’ creative powers since everyone is trying to make more money through their ideas. This will help a country create more ideas for making an effective brand, because once an idea is popular and effective, it will grow eventually creating a nationwide branding. This connects to the idea of saving the world since individuals will create the ideas of a nation. This leads to my question of why doesn’t the countries of the world create a new system of government that takes the individuality of capitalism with the unification of communism.
