Week #5-Anya Reames

In the article, The Internationalism of Danish furniture. A Value Chan Perspective by Lars Hedemann and Mogens Rostgaard Nissen, we were able to see how the Dannish were about to improve their national asthetic through a long-term economic plan that involved selling furniture that become high in demand. The Danish were about to make their furniture industry successful through the process of internationalism. Internationalism is a “political principle which advocated a greater political or economic cooperation among nations and peoples, and whose ideological roots can be traces to both socialism and liberalism.” (wiki) There main steps are increasing the firms sales as well as establishing them internationally. Denmark was thus able to successfully increase its GDP which lead to better overall quality of lives for its citizens. Additionally, through this process, it was able to establish more international recognition as well as an improved image. During the time Demark was expanding internationally, there were fewer restrictions as there are today. It has become more difficult to spread your brand internationally. Currently, there is so much competition in Dannish furniture that some Danish stores are being shut down

Concerning our product, the Pilipino tourism app, we plan to abide by all laws and restrictions and thus will push our product through tourism books and online advertisements.
