Patricia De Perio- Week 7

How does one reach out to national decision-makers or governance groups in the country of their startup in order to have their enterprise accepted? What steps do you plan to take to have your project approve by power-holders?

Botswana's key to their success is good governance and good policies that resulted in social and economic success. Through government's heavy investments in infrastructure and human capital, they were able to increase domestic productivity and competitiveness. On top of their high fiscal saving limits current consumption, reducing pressure on domestic inflation. The accumulation of implementing good policies lead to poverty reduction and increase education. However, the problem with Botswana's tourisms industry is dominated by foreign investors and companies, taking away domestic  economy and affecting citizen workers. Similar to Botswana, the Philippines' tourism market is dominated by private international sectors which eliminates sustainable tourism. Our start up will promote inclusivity by attracting domestic companies to participate in our startup in order to promote  local development and participation. By getting the people involve in the process, we are hoping to make significant contribution to local companies and allowing citizens to partake in the development by providing them jobs. If power-holders get involve in the process, the goal of improving tourism in the country impels them to invest in development of infrastructures that will contribute to improvement of the country itself.

In order for the enterprise to accept our ideas, we have present our product as another form of solution to the problem the Philippines is facing, which is a negative image that inhibits would-be travelers to choose our country for their travel destination. Through the use of a well-thought out presentation of how our app will help improve the country's tourism, I think there would be at least one or two enterprises that would be interested in getting involved with our project.

Question: How can the Philippines advertise itself that would suit a wide niche market instead of specific one?
